Kennebunkport Maine Things to Do

With 82 Ocean as your home base, there are so many fun things to “sea” and do. You can walk to town, to Dock Square and to a nearby Colony Beach. If you like to fish, the Breakwater at the head of the Kennebunk River is the place to drop a hook. It’s a short drive or a trolley ride to area beaches like Kennebunk Beach, Mother’s Beach and Goose Rocks Beach.

Shopper will love browsing the quaint boutiques in downtown Dock Square, while water lovers will want to take to the seas on a whale watch or set sail on a scenic schooner. Families enjoy the scenic lobster boats tours where you will see seals and haul traps looking for the daily catch of lobsters. Bike rentals are available in town, kayaks and canoes too. Golfers will find several Championship Golf courses nearby including Webhannet and Cape Arundel Golf Club - where President Bush plays. An Executive Par 3 course and driving range are available at Hillcrest Golf for family fun.

Driving the coast, you can visit Maine’s spectacular lighthouses, go antique shopping or head for Maine’s most famous shopping outlets, LL Bean in Freeport or Kittery Outlets.

In the evening, there are so many wonderful restaurants you can walk to from 82 Ocean. You will also find world famous summer stock theatre at the Arundel Barn Playhouse and nearby Ogunquit Playhouse. 82 Ocean is within walking distance of two famous grand hotels where evening entertainment can be enjoyed in season.
