There is a Yankee saying, “if you don’t like the weather, stay
another day.” Maine weather is a source
of constant conversation and
much amusement, you can have snow in October and beach days in
January. So check the forecast and bring layers as it gets cool in
the evenings along the coast.
82 Ocean is located on the River and on a tidal cove, so you will
see firsthand the tide ebbing and flowing. A check of the Tide Chart
is wise before you embark on any water sports or beach activities, I
for no other reason than to know where to set up your beach chair
and umbrella.
Plus, we strongly recommend when paddling on the River paddle into
the tide to start so when you are tired you will have the tide
pushing you home.
